David Lundin from the Electronic Voting Group at the University of Surrey, UK gave a demonstration and talk at Newcastle University on the 14th of June 2007.

Entitled Le Prêt à Voter est arrivé the demonstration allowed the audience which consisted mainly of members of the University's Computing department to cast votes on which of a fictitious (famous) character impersonated by audience members should have to be ejected from a sinking balloon. A talk given by David Lundin during the voting itself gave an introduction to electronic voting in general and Prêt à Voter in particular.

The audience was very vocal and fantastically interesting discussions ensued.

The slides can be downloaded in handout form here.
